Prospectus and preliminary application form can be obtained from the College office upon payment of Rs 1000/- in person DD in favour of "MIOT Academy of Allied Health Sciences".

Applications can be down loaded from the website also. If downloaded application is submitted along with payment in cash or Demand Draft as stated above.


Admission is open to candidates from all parts of India, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates are admitted once in a year in June/July for Under Graduate Courses.


Call Letter

Once the eligibility criteria are met, call letters would be sent to the prospective candidates and they would be called for a written test. Candidates should bring the call letter along with them when they appear for the written examination.


Entrance Examination

Eligible candidates would appear for the written examination. This examination would be based on the 10+ 2 syllabuses of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. It would also have a section on English, Aptitude and General Knowledge. Selection will be purely on merit on the basis of entrance examination and personal interview.


Admission Letter

Admission letter will be issued to selected candidates on the date of entrance examination itself. Once selected, fee has to be paid within stipulated date failing which selection will be forfeited.


At the time of admission, selected candidates are required to produce following original certificates along with Eligibility Certificate issued by The Tamil Nadu DR MGR Medical University.

  • 10th Mark sheet

  • 12th/PUC Mark sheet

Transfer Certificate
Conduct Certificate

Migration certificate (for Students from other states / universities)

Passport size photographs-3 nos and self-addressed, stamped envelopes- 6 nos


For UG Courses: Pass in 10+2 (CBSE, Matriculation, State Board or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology.

Rules of admission

  1. Candidates who are admitted on the basis of qualifications obtained from other Universities or bodies should fully satisfy all the prescribed conditions for admission laid down by the TamilnaduDr MGR Medical University and such admissions are subject to approval by the University. The provisional admission is entirely at the risk of the Candidate.

  2. Students who are found to have obtained admission by false representation or wrong information will be summarily dismissed with forfeiture of all the fee paid by them.

  3. No student will be enrolled or permitted to attend classes until all the prescribed fees has been paid.

  4. Any student who wishes to leave the College during the middle of the academic year due to any reason will have to pay for the whole academic course / year and any fees paid by him/her will not be refunded.

  5. Change of course will not be permitted under any circumstances.


Identity Card
Identity card is provided by the College. It should be kept on the person and tangibly displayed. No Student would be allowed to enter the campus without wearing the Identity Card


Dress Code

As part of the Medical/Paramedical fraternity all students must wear the apparel prescribed by the College on all working days during working hours and when they represent the college to any other institution.


All Students - White Pant, White shirt, (Half Sleeve) White knee long Coat and white shoes. All students have to come in full uniform on all days and during all College level meetings / programmes.

Rules of Discipline
Every student is required to observe discipline and decent behavior both inside and outside the College / Hospital. Indiscipline of any kind, use of obscene language and improper behavior with anybody is not acceptable to the culture of MIOT. Following acts are prohibited:

  1. Participating in political activities.

  2. Participating in the activities / cultural competitions of other Colleges without approval from College authorities.

  3. Wandering unnecessarily on the MIOT campus and loitering on the corridors

  4. Visiting the canteen during class / in service hours

  5. Displaying banners or pasting any kind of posters without permission

  6. Students are requested to avoid wearing precious and costly jewels. The College authorities will not hold any responsibility for the loss if any. 

  7. Disturbing the Principal, Office Staff and Teaching Staff during class hours will be viewed seriously

Following acts would be considered as acts of Indiscipline and would be viewed very seriously

  1. Causing any kind of damage to any property of College /MIOT, or defacing the walls and Doors.

  2. Scribbling on walls / Spitting on the walls / corridors / Chewing pan

  3. Bringing strangers / unauthorized persons in to campus

  4. Meddling with the vehicles of Students and Staff.

  5. Consumption of alcoholic drinks / drugs / possession / peddling them.

  6. Moving out of the class room unnecessarily

  7. Quarrelling / Manhandling any student

  8. Disrespecting / disobeying / using abusive language against the Staff or authorities of the College and MIOT

  9. Disturbing the class room atmosphere / whistling inside the campus at MIOT

  10. Absenting from classes / In Service without prior approval except on Medical Grounds xi. Going for outings / Picnics / Movies during working hours
